Importance: Low
Hello,
I have 2 routers connected via PPPoFR and also via serial interfaces
with PPP authentication.
When I configure the serial interfaces to be the backup for PPPoFR
interfaces, the backup interfaces are not coming up.
Below is my configuration,
R1 (s1/0)--------PPP over framerelay----------(s1/0) R2
|
|
|-----(s1/2)----- serial connection---------------(s1/2) |
R1:
interface Serial1/0
no ip address
backup interface s1/2
encapsulation frame-relay
frame-relay interface-dlci 504 ppp Virtual-Template1
interface Virtual-Template1
ip address 152.1.45.4 255.255.255.0
interface Serial1/2
ip address 152.1.54.4 255.255.255.0
encapsulation ppp
clock rate 64000
ppp authentication chap
end
R2:
interface Serial1/0
no ip address
backup interface s1/2
encapsulation frame-relay
frame-relay interface-dlci 405 ppp Virtual-Template1
interface Virtual-Template1
ip address 152.1.45.5 255.255.255.0
interface Serial1/2
ip address 152.1.54.5 255.255.255.0
encapsulation ppp
ppp authentication chap
end
Could anyone please help.
Thanks,
Vignesh
