IE LAB 8 Task 9.2

Hello guys

In this task on web-cache i am not getting the point why the web-cache
is configured in the out direction in ser0/0 of R4.
The scenario is

vlan4--fa0/0-R4--s0/0--fr--s0/0--R1--fa0/0

Vlan 4 traffic should be web cached. Web servers are off R1. So they
have to travel via R4 s0/0.

My way was to apply it in vlan 4 Fa0/0 of R4 in the inbound direction.
Is this wrong?

DOC site says this about applying inbound and outbound

Configuring WCCP for redirection for inbound traffic on interfaces
allows you to avoid the overhead associated with CEF forwarding for
outbound traffic. Setting an output feature on any interface results
in the slower switching path of the feature being taken by all packets
arriving at all interfaces. Setting an input feature on an interface
results in only those packets arriving at that interface taking the
configured feature path; packets arriving at other interfaces will use
the faster default path. Configuring WCCP for inbound traffic also
allows packets to be classified before the routing table lookup, which
translates into faster redirection of packets.
