When working through the redistribution parts does that link come in through
another protocol that you don't want to override?
Sometimes you'll find that things ar excluded as you work through any
redistribution parts along the way when you find that the route may suddenly
"change direction" if you don't and possibly violate another rule.
Many times, how specific you get in redistribution is up to the individual
rather than a specific requirement. While I didn't write that particular
lab, I've always been a fan of being specific in redistribution so that
there are no surprises later on!

Hi all,
I'm doing ipexpert's lab 29.
and on R2 RIP they have distribute-list 6 out.
which does the folowing:
access-list 6 deny 172.29.25.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 6 permit any
172.29.25.0 is a link between R2 <-> R5 which was not asked to filter.
Can anyone tell me if I'm missing something in requirements ?
Many thanks,
