Joe,
When people use Dynamips for their preparation it isn't the only
"hardware" resource they will use. Some will tie their Dynamips rack
into real 3550/3560s while others will use the 16 port switch card in
four of the routers to learn about 80% of the switching topics and then
rent rack time for the last 20%. No one here is advocating the use of
Dynamips solely without getting access to the real 3550/3560s at some
point during their preparation.
