not only that.. when sw1 advertise ebgp prefix to sw4, the next hop for the ebgp prefix is the peering address 162.1.10.7; then when sw4 advertise theseprefixes to sw3, the next hop remains unchanged as peering between sw3 and sw4is ibgp. You will notice that sw3 can't reach the next hop of the ibgp prefixsent by sw4, which is 162.1.10.7.. as result these routes are not installed in sw3'sbgp table; sw3 will not further advertise the routes to sw2 since it can't reach the next hop.
same thing happen when sw2 advertise ebgp prefix to sw3, the prefix will never reach sw1due to next hop unreachable on sw4. hence bgp next-hop-self is needed on both sw3 and sw4 to handle this.
