Hi,
It probably happen due to delays in the carrier 800 number (might be routed in a different path or subjected to some echo canceling mechanism). A workaround would be to start the greeting with a blank 3-5 seconds so that the beginning of it would not be missed.

I am configuring a gateway with two PRIs an 800 number is pointing at the PRI
from the carrier. When you call the 800 number the beginning of the opening
greeting is cutoff. But when you call the bulling number of the PRI, the
number the 800 number points to, the begining of the greeting is not cut off.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Julius
