Hi,

We also see several students who make good use of dynamips/vmware, some of them have posted detailed description of their work in our forums.

This is a good way to get plenty of hands on experience on some of the technologies in the lab, unfortunately it will take more then that to pass.

You should be able to configure and integrate ALL the lab components without looking at the doc cd, simply because there is not enough time. The devices that were mentioned as not supported on dynamips, have a lot of dependencies and can easily add up to a critical mass.

Strategy is also important, and I agree with Peter that the tasks should not be followed in the order they are presented.

Just my 2 ...

Hi

Agree peter

no 6500 stuff, no CUE, no MGCP, no Hardware media resources, no Catalysts QoS, no FXS/FXO

well thats not a core topics ;-)

but the majority can be done on this lab.

i do have one VG200 with FXS/FXO and will add another VG200 by next week, using those two routers for the FXS/FXO part (not bad at all tho)

i did install CME alone via Dynamips using c3725-ipvoice-mz.123-14.T7.BIN code, connected it to loopback, and i was amazed how much you can learn via small labs like this, isolating the labs is not bad idea at all.

Regards
