Congrats ... now you can have a restful honeymoon.

Some may argue that
marriage is harder then the CCIE ... :)

Passed in RTP Friday

Well, I passed on my second attempt in RTP on Friday.
My story is similar to many we see here each week. I started my
 serious
study a year ago, passed the written in February. I failed my first
 attempt
in July, and I knew I was not entirely ready. On Friday, I
 went there with
determination and confidence that I knew my stuff. The
 morning was slow and
steady, verifying everything along the way. I used
 the technique Brian
Dennis explains in his strategy session. Anyway,
 lunch came around, which
was horrible (fish). I could not help but to
 think of the delicious
watermelon juice in SJ, thanks Joe. Oh well,
 back to work.

I was done 30
minutes after lunch, and started to do the ones I
 skipped. I finished those
with a few reads of the docCD. Then with 2 hours
 remaining, I started back
at the first question, and double-checked my
answers. I fixed a couple minor
errors, asked the proctor a few
clarifying questions, and time was up. I
walked out being pretty damn sure I
 had at least 90+ points...

Friday
night I couldn't sleep, and woke up at 5:30am. Decided I would
 check the
ccie site for s#!ts and giggles, and sure enough it was
 there...19155.

I
want to thank my fianci for putting up with me spending all my free
 time
studying. I am getting Married Saturday, so I was told I have to
 pass this
time. :) Secondly I wanted to thank many of the great people
 on groupstudy,
including Scott Morris, Brian Dennis, Brian McGahan, and
 Narbik for all their
help to so many of us who are learning this
material. You do inspire many of
us to try harder and think a little more.
Last but not least, thanks to
Sadiq Yakasai, Gary Duncanson, and Joe
Brunner for making me think a little
harder about things. Also the
proctors in RTP, Howard and Bobby were great
as always.

Materials I used included many internal training bootcamps, I
shared a
few IEWB labs, read the docCD almost entirely, and of course
GroupStudy. GroupStudy is a great learning tool if you try to solve other
people's problems as they arise. So thanks to all of those who asked
questions, and those who maintain the list.

Cheers,
Jason, CCIE# 19155
