Hi GS,

I am working through this task, and am having trouble with the task to
get SW2 to use the optimal routing paths. Can someone who knows this lab
please offer some assistance.

SW2

R 204.12.1.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:01, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.35.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:01, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.45.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:01, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.54.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:01, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.57.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:01, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.6.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.4.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.5.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.13.3/32 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.15.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.12.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 163.1.13.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:02, FastEthernet0/21
R 192.10.1.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:03, FastEthernet0/21
R 150.1.6.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:03, FastEthernet0/21
R 150.1.4.0/23 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:03, FastEthernet0/21
R 150.1.3.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:03, FastEthernet0/21
R 150.1.2.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:03, FastEthernet0/21
R 150.1.1.0/24 [120/2] via 163.1.18.1, 00:00:03, FastEthernet0/21

offset-list 1 in 2 FastEthernet0/20
offset-list 0 in 1 FastEthernet0/21

access-list 1 permit 150.1.6.0
access-list 1 permit 150.1.2.0
access-list 1 permit 150.1.1.0
access-list 1 permit 163.1.6.0
access-list 1 permit 163.1.12.0
access-list 1 permit 204.12.1.0

I have the offset lists configured on SW2 that matches networks behind
R1. My understanding of this is that all routes that match access-list 1
will be offset by 2 for these routes recieved on interface F0/20 (which
is connected to R3), which in turn will prefer them to be sent via F0/21
through R1. All other routes will be offset by 1 so should be preferred
via F0/20 and be sent to R3.

My problem seems to be that by default all routes are preferred from R1
(via F0/21) so whatever I do it never prefers the routes via R3 (F0/20).

Thanks,
Jo
