I just found something that might be useful to at least let documented:
In multicast, there are some seldom noted tools: mrinfo, mtrace, mstat.
What is even less documented is the magic they use to acquire bits of info.
It seems they actually use DVMRP queries to work (IGMP type 0x13).
Cisco does not fully implement DVMRP, but enough to some uses. This
is one ? :)
