I would have thought that the two swapping parties would negotiate and
agree on an exact time (in secret) when they would perform the swap, or
even do it simultaneously over the phone

Guys,

I have a question. When we say lab date swap isn't it riskky.

Suppose two people mutually agree to swap date which each other. And
lets say first person release his date. Now before second person
captures that released date by first person, a third person (who is in
hunt of a free date) sees the date released by first person and captures
it.

Or is this a different process that a third person can not come in
between.

Please guide me.
