Hi,

It's the second part, the gateway knows the ccm ip addr and once it registers then the ccm learns the gw's ip addr.

Subject: Re: 2811 as a mgcp gateway in ccm4.1 registration issue [html-rem]

I just want to make it more clear..

For example:
MGCP gateway routers' ip address : 10.10.32.3
MGCP gateway routers hostname : BR2

CCM IP address: 10.1.200.21

Question:
Is it a requirement for call manager to be reachable to BR2 router by using
hostname?
in other word .. From CCM machine , should BR2 router pingeble using command
"ping br2" to register?
or
it's the MGCP which will identify the MGCP gateway by using hostname?
because we configured MGCP agent <ccme ip> in our gateway config?
