Have you got a Cisco device as a Frame Relay switch or are you using
Dynamips?
Can you see the PVC's on the spoke routers too?
If all your configs are correct including the frame relay switch and you
are seeing the correct PVC's on all routers then reboot your router that
is acting as the frame relay switch. Once or twice I've had strange
situations with FR and the reboot cured it.
Simon.

That doesn't seem normal. Did you try a shut and no shut on the
interfaces first. I always have the oppisate problem. The mapping are
there and I can't get rid of them. I shut em, change encaps, no shut em,
and still there. Gzzzz

Subject: Frame Relay Inverse ARP IEWB 4.1 Lab 2
Hello,
I am just starting out going through the IEWB 4.1 Volume I for Frame
Relay tasks. I am trying to get Inverse ARP to work, but cannot for the
life of me get it going on my rack. The setup is very simple. R1, R4 and
R5 are configured as follows:
R1
interface Serial0/0
ip address 10.0.0.1 255.0.0.0
encapsulation frame-relay
R4
interface Serial0/0
ip address 10.0.0.4 255.0.0.0
encapsulation frame-relay
no frame-relay inverse-arp IP 405
R5
interface Serial0/0
ip address 10.0.0.5 255.0.0.0
encapsulation frame-relay
no frame-relay inverse-arp IP 504
When I do a show frame-relay map on any of the routers I see no dynamic
entries and I cannot ping between R1 and R4 or R1 and R5, even though
the PVC are active on all devices.
R1
DLCI = 104, DLCI USAGE = LOCAL, PVC STATUS = ACTIVE, INTERFACE =
Serial0/0
DLCI = 105, DLCI USAGE = LOCAL, PVC STATUS = ACTIVE, INTERFACE =
Serial0/0
I decided to go back to the Volume I task, as I was having major trouble
on IEWB 4.1 Lab 2 setting up a fully meshed frame-relay network using
Inverse ARP - no matter what i did I got no dynamic entries from the
frame-relay map command.
Please help as I am missing something simple here...
Thanks,
Jo
