Hi,

To me, I think it all has to do with what the individual wants and what he's
really looking for.

I have friends who hold masters in networking, network security, data
communications, etc, but who earn less than what a CCNP would fetch them.

I know some who have even decided to start with CCNA certification now
because they find the certifications would fetch them more money and place
them even in higher demand than a 'plain' masters degree.

It all depends on you, your environment, etc. So depending on me, my
environment, etc, I know a CCIE security would fetch me more demand and
money than even a PhD in network security. And that's what I am aiming for.

Anyway, just my 2 pesewas!

Regards,

Felix
