The commands are all from the router's perspective.

(users) ----> E0/0 Router S0/0 ----> (web server)

The same request will be viewed as IN at the ethernet port as is OUT at the
serial port.

If you only have one in and one out interface, where you place it is
irrelevant and has no bearing on where the web cache is located.

If you search the archives, there are other longer examples that have been
gone over as well... But at the simple-side of things, it's all based on
the router's viewpoint!

PS. You redirect the start of the flows, so it will be from the user. Your
web cache is just a different type of proxy server.

traffic flows, from the web or from the host?

Cache registration can be on any interface, and it's sort of independent
thing. You can have the cache engines in different interfaces too.
