L2 protocols over L3 link

Hi group,

  SW1<----------------->SW2
   
  SW1 and SW2 are connected through a L3 link ( I mean with no switchport command and ip address xx.xx.xx.xx in the interface config) :
   
   
  I need to connect 2 hosts, 1 to SW1 and the other to SW2 and configure both these hosts to be in same L2 domain. There is no way I can establish a trunk-link between switches and have to use this L3 link between the switches for the above purpose.
   
  Can anyone tell me how can I do that ?
