Hi all,
As it stands, I'm running all 3640s in Dynamips for lab prep. For a variety
of reasons, I'm considering a change to the 3725. However, I have no
experience with this router in my lab studies or in the real world. Does
this box have sufficient feature support for full lab prep? Dynamips
doesn't do any of the ISRs (due to the complexity of reverse-engineering
ASICs). Thus, I'm a little concerned that there may be some FW/IDS type of
stuff tested in the real lab using the 2800s that I won't be able to prepare
for w/ an all-3725 lab. I could always blend 3640s w/ the FW/IDS feature
set back into my topology for those labs that require that sort of thing.
My main problem here is that I'm still working my way through IEWB#1 and
thus I don't know how big of a deal this will be when I get to IEWB#2
shortly. Or the real lab, for that matter. Anyone willing to offer some
insights here? Suggestions? Guidance? Criticisms?
Thanks much all,
Scott
