With GRE/IPSEC I have rocked 40mbps or so in my lab. This with just 2811's
with AIM EP II encryption module.

You're fine. The ISR's are quite fast. If you get the security bundle you
can future proof this design- you'll be able to support faster encryption
than the built in card.

I would like to implement multicast routing over a non multicast aware
backbones with GRE tunnels. Traffic pattern leads to a hub and spoke design.
We plan to use static GRE tunnels between the hub and the spokes.

Does anyone have experience with cisco 2821 / 2851 GRE performance (traffic
is streamed video, so i assume large packets. We expect 10 Mbit/s at the hub
for the initial setup.
