Hi,
I totally agree with Ben, in the case of RIP, the passive interface doesn't
introduce any problem with using neighbor command, on the flip they are
used together to stop multicasting, and unicast instead, but the process is
different with EIGRP, as whenever the neighbor command is configured for an
interface, EIGRP will by default stop processing all multicast packets that
come inbound on that interface.
