R2(config-if)#priority-?
priority-group

hence there is no command "priority-queue out"in Version 12.3(14)T7. for
PQ.

This is the message you are going to receive:
R2(config-if)#service-policy output check
Must remove priority-group configuration first.
R2(config-if)#

configuration test follows:
IOS version: Version 12.3(14)T7
Two routers connected via serial interface.
encapsulation ppp

CONFIGURATION #

Current DLCI priority queue configuration:
Current priority queue configuration:

1 medium protocol arp

applied it to interface serial s1/1
priority-group 1 //comment: you will not find any direction here. "not
relevant".

R2#show run inter s1/1

R2#show class-map

Then tried to apply this to interface serial 1/1 and thus received the
message.

R2(config-if)#service-policy output check
Must remove priority-group configuration first.

The funda of Q is similar to access list, one per direction per
interface...

It's my understanding, and in case I am wrong, please do let me know..

Regards.

Subject: Catalyst output queue and the priotity queue

Hey Guys,

So i am bit confised about this and would appreciate some comments
please.

So on the 3550/3560s, I could enable priority queueing on one the 4
output queues on the port by issuing the interface configuration
command: priority-queue out

Now, if i had configured an LLQ on an MQC Policy map and had applied it
to the interface, how does the two attributes affect packets exitting
this port please?

I know its abit vague, but any information to incline my line of though
would be great....

Thanks!!

Sadiq
