I've seen these before,

these advertisements can also have the opposite affect...getting someone with
a lower number that may have issues doing certain newer tasks. Just because
you have a low number does not mean that you are actually current in the
technologies.

We had a contractor years ago, couldnt configure EIGRP to save his life yet he
had a number lower than 10000. He also sucked at QOS and security.

needless to say he was let go, but the number doesnt mean everything. This
company is also not paying that much either and they are missing out on a lot
of good candidates by limiting the numbering.
