Thanks for you kind words of encouragement Joe.
I've no intention of dropping the date, be it California or Mars. I've
also no intention of passing either but I'll give it my best. I think I
would be hard pushed getting an exam in 6 months in Brussels anyway with
the current availability (by then I would be really tired!)
I don't see massive similarities between the written and the lab really.
I sure I would be able to pass it again but I'd rather not. There was
an awful lot of stuff in there that wont be in the lab (any wireless for
example). I suppose I shouldn't say the one about cat5 cables due to
NDA tho I'm sure there is a good chance you may have got that one.
Maybe your failures at the lab actually helped you pass it eventually.
Cheers
Alex

I would consider taking the written again, to make sure you are ready
for
this lab. If you are ready for the lab NOV/DEC you should be able to
pass
the written NOW, or with only light refreshing...
I can assure the new written is a piece of cake compared to the current
lab
exams. Don't spend $1400 to "keep MC Hammer's entourage afloat".
If you took the written 14~ or so months ago, and are not ready for the
lab
tomorrow morning, you should do the written before you book a lab date.
I have never failed anything twice in my life. Until the Lab.

Hi,
I've currently got a lab date booked in San Jose in earlier December.
My written expires later in December so I'm just putting the feelers out
to see if someone is planning on dropping a date in any of the following
before then:-
Brussels
Dubai
RTP
Getting abit desperate as travelling from the UK to California will be a
right mission. (1,2,3 awww)
That said, if that's what's got to be done then that's what has to be
done!
I'm not ready to take it right now though. I think anytime in November
or December would be amazing if for some reason one of you has to drop a
lab date.
I thought it abit unlikely but then It wont hurt to ask!
Cheers guys
Alex
