Traffic shaping versus Traffic policing

Hi Experts,

I have a doubt in calculating the Bc and Be, as far as traffic shaping
is concerned I know we can calculate the same using the below Formulas:-

Bc = CIR*Tc

Tc = Bc/CIR

CIR = Bc/Tc

Be = (AIR-CIR) * Tc

peak rate = CIR(1+Be/Bc)

My Question is that is this the same formula we going use when we
calculate the Bc and Be when policing the traffic?
