Guys,
As your guys aware that, I got my R&S CCIE baby last week. So now I am
studying for Voice. When I was reading I found something called fuzzy voice.
Thats reminded my washing machine & on top of it special feature marked as
Fuzzy Logic. So I read about Fuzzy Logic & found many things about it.
Also found that, it has been using for Cisco ANA (Active Network Abstraction).
Here are the words of introduction With Cisco. Active Network Abstraction

This fuzzy logic talks about something ahead from our binary world.
In binary you have only following two combinations.
A True
A True
That means if A is True then A (Opposite component of A) is False.
If A
is True then A is False.
Following is the better explanation of above two.
A- True : A False
A False : A True
Based on Boolean (Binary)
logic at the same time A & A can not be true. But in Fuzzy logic it is
possible.
In fuzzy logic, you can have A True & A True at the same
time.
So there will be three (3) states in fuzzy logic.
A- True : A
False
A False : A True
A True : A -True

Actually we are getting many problems/issues when we implement network/voice
systems. Then we have to troubleshoot them. But there is no simple logic or
mechanism for the troubleshooting. I guess we can use the Fuzzy Logic for
our network troubleshooting. If that is so, then this may be useful in our LAB
exams.
Lets take an example,
Lets say you are configuring your
ether-channels. You have found an interface is in Error Disable mode. So you
have to troubleshoot
If a physical port is in Error Disable status then
you can not get up your Port Channel Interface. But there are situations I
have seen both a Port is in Error Disable & Port-Channelis up. But still I
can not transfer data via my Ether-Channel. We can call this as a Fuzzy
Situation. We can play around these types of cases when we have time. We can
not do it in the CCIE LAB. Therefore best way is avoid these types of Fuzzy
Situations. I have learned a solution for this one from Brians (IE - ATCOD).
He has advised there to shutdown physical interfaces before you configure
ether-channels. So, if you know Fuzzy Status before the exam then you can find
ways to avoid them. That is one reason to have many rack sessions before the
exam. Sometimes technologies do not work as they defined.
Therefore that is
very important to understand that , there are something called Fuzzy
Situations which do not match with the Boolean Logic. Troubleshooting of those
types of situations are difficult & we have to experience them before our real
exam. Also we must find ways to avoid them. Some of them are not mentioned in
the books like, I have found it from Brians class.
