Hi all,
Here is a scenario:
4 routers - R1, R2 and CAT1, CAT2, all BGP speakers. R1 and R2 in OSPF
area0 and iBGP(asn65151) to each other, and CAT1 and CAT2 in a
separate OSPF area0 and also iBGP (asn65100) to each other. R1 eBGP
peer with CAT2 and R2 eBGP peer with CAT1. all routers have BGP<->OSPF
mutual redistribution. no loop prevention methods applied
R2 has a loopback int with ip 192.168.4.2/32 in OSPF
R1------ibgp--R2
| |
ebgp ebgp
| |
CAT2--ibgp-CAT1
there is also a R3 speaking ibgp and ospf with R1 and R2 but no redistribution.
Turn on debug ip routing in cat1 and cat2, seeing 192.168.4.2/32
toggle between ibgp-ospf-ebgp
anyone can help to explain the reason behind this behavior? and if
required I can post the configs as well.
Thanks in advance,
Pat
