You definitely can't write on any of the pages, including the diagrams. You
can take them out of the book but I think writing on them gets you a 1 year
vacation from the lab.
You can use the ? and the IOS keyboard shortcuts. If the lab doesn't say
that you can't do it then it's fair game!
