Hi Ben,
Yes, it will support it, but the port will have to be configured as a trunk.
A typical config where the voice vlan is 120 and the data vlan is 20 would
look like that:
interface fa1/1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk native vlan 20
switchport voice vlan 120
Also you will have to use the 'vlan database' command to create vlans.

Hi Avner,
"switchport voice vlan x" is exactly what I am looking for, with a PC
hanging off the phone in a data VLAN.
So it will support that, which is the "normal" ip phone/call manager
scenario ?

Hi,
If by voice vlan support you mean that you would have one tagged vlan on
an access port, then the answer is no.
But, you can do voice vlan in the 'old way', with a trunk port
configured for every phone and the 'switchport voice vlan xx' command to
tell the phone what vlan to send the voice traffic on.

Hey all,
Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know if the 1800 (specifically 1811
or 1812) supports the voice vlan feature on their builtin 8 port switch?
I cannot find the feature in the IOS feature navigator - is it even
listed seperately, as it doesn't show up in the features for a 3560
either?
Ben
