Hi Utuya, I am running a Acer Aspire 5100, AMD Turion 64 x2 (1.6 Ghz) with 2 G
DDR2, and with this machine HW configuration, I am able to run 6 routers
running full routing and multicast configurations, with only 56% of usage in
the both CPUs, plus a fan laptop coller. Probably I could run more, but this
is only for when our racks are so busy of customer (nothing like the real
thing, because you do not deal with Dynamips or Cisco probable bugs - worst
felling when you start studying),
I had a Lenovo t60 before, and well, I must say that I like better dynamips
running in the Acer Aspire (cheaper as well)
just a thought...
thanks,
Victor Cappuccio.-

Subject: Recommended handware for dynamips?????
Hi Group,
Am gearing up to get into the world of Dynamips for my CCIE preparation.
Can someone please recommend a suitable (Tested & Trusted) hardware for
me ??
Which is better ? Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD 64 X2 Dual core
Regards,
Uyota
