Several reasons immediately come to mind:
1. I can type 10 times faster than I can write with a pen or pencil
2. Search function w/ pen or pencil involved a lot of finger licking
3. I couldn't carry around my notes thus far in life with a pack mule
4. I can't read my own writing
....
5. It's too simple! LOL!

Hi all,
Wow, so many great recommendations to consider. Thanks so much
all for
the many responses. As I need breaks from my lab work in the
coming day
or two, I'll be reviewing each one of these carefully.
Thanks again and fruitful studies all...

You may wanna try out TreePad.
This is recommended by NetMasterClass.
Pretty useful, just wondering if there is a Microsoft Word
feature
like TreePad functionality.
