RE: VTP VERSION2 issue in TRANSPARENT MODE SWITCH

I didn't mean to mislead any one. Alexey thank you for providing us with
a very helpful information. My point is that documentation is fine, and
switch modules behave according to the documentation. It is seems to be
a bug in "real" switches code releases :)
So if I see next time that transparent switch in the middle is the
problem for my VTP domain I know what to do:
1. Reset transparent switch's domain name to null or
2. Put the same domain name on it as on rest of switches.

Andrew.

On "real" switches the behaviour is the same as described in original
post

2007/8/30, Usankin, Andrew <Andrew.Usankin@twtelecom.com >:

I have labbed it on dynamips last night on 3725 routers with
NM-16ESW
modules. All is working just fine. Doesn't matter if middle
switch has
null domain name or specific domain name. Transparent VTP v2
forward all
unknown VTP advertisements between edge switches just fine, and
v1 drops
        everything. All behaves according documentation.

See if you can find another image which doesn't have this bug.
