Brian,

In the new version of the IEWB (4.1), this scenario is tested and in the
solutions it is tested under the verification section. But It is shown that
R4 is getting the IP address from R1, but in actual practice, when I labbed
it, it does not work without advertising the 45 subnet into OSPF.

May be there is some other GOTCHA!
