RE: VLAN with no active ports

A lone switch and all the ports in the VLAN are down,
if the VLAN is only for users and they all go home for
the night. Syslog messages can be shut off with "no
logging.." and traps can be shut off with "no snmp
event..." but the interface still goes down and
network management polling reports an error and the IP
on the VLAN isn't active. The SVI IP address doesn't
have to be management my network management but it
seems pointless for the SVI to go up and down like a
yo-yo.

Is there a way to keep the VLAN active even though
there are no ports in the VLAN (1 switch)?
