Well, I'm a bad negotiator, plus I took the job because I really
wanted to live here. Now that I'm here and I think I set the bar
pretty high, I imagine they would pay more than what they are paying
me right now to get someone good. All that said, the cost of living
housing wise is comparable to LA or the SF bay area. However, the real
cost is all the other things you need...Gas is around $3.25 a gallon,
milk around $8, pack of hot dogs $4 something...parking is as much as
daycare (so I've heard, I ride the bus and don't have kids)...but, I
can go drink beer on the beach after work everyday and swim all year
round...
