Did a quick cut and paste config into dynamips and got the same error
message. I think you just need to configure the dampening parameters to
finish up.
Rack1R1#sh ip bgp dampening
*Mar 1 00:01:19.919: %BGP-3-BADROUTEMAP: Bad parameters in the route-map
DAMPMAP applied for Dampening
Rack1R1#sh ip bgp dampening
ROM: ROMMON Emulation Microcode
ROM: 3600 Software (C3640-JK9S-M), Version 12.4(12), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Rack1R1(config)#route-map DAMPMAP 10
Rack1R1(config-route-map)#set
Rack1R1(config-route-map)#set dam
Rack1R1(config-route-map)#set dampening ?
<1-45> half-life time for the penalty
Rack1R1(config-route-map)#set dampening ?
<1-45> half-life time for the penalty
Rack1R1(config-route-map)#set dampening
% Incomplete command.
I think you need to configure the damping parameters for it to work.
