no PPP debug output

Hi all,

I'm working on a PPP problem and turn on "deb ppp nego" and "deb ppp auth",
but I don't get any PPP output, other than the IPCP message that a /32 host
route is installed.
The call does come up properly.

Any ideas why I don't see the usual extensive PPP debug output?
