Sure, for many things....
In sales, how often to you use/need to use an SE? If you are an engineer as
well, there's a different respect level that may come from your clients.
As for management, you'll be able to relate better to your engineers if you
really know what it takes to do what they do. Then you won't be
continuously making unrealistic goals and becoming confused why things can't
happen in a certain way. I know too many managers like this. :)
Either way, it never hurts!
