CCIE Security Home Lab list

Both vendor's web sites will have a list of their
physical topology
requirements. But for bare minimum applications, check out
Cisco's CCIE web
site and look at the equipment list for Security.

For
Ipexpert, we use 8 main routers per pod, 3 BB routers, 4 switches (from
the
R&S setup, though we provide a mechanism to turn two off for security
labs), a
PIX 515, two ASA-5510's, an IPS-4215 and a VPN 3005. We also have
an ACS
server running ACS 4.x as well as an XP workstation you can get to
both
remotely.

That's more routers than the real lab will have, but overkill never
hurts.
:) If you are planning to build your own, no matter whose topology you
follow, you'll need to have a Terminal Server and a Frame Switch device as
well. You could accomplish both tasks with a single router depending on
what
you get.
