You can take it a step further and make an alias:

Alias sri show run | in
Alias srb show run | beg

Then when you need to get to BGP:

3550-a#srb 65514

router bgp 65514
no synchronization
bgp log-neighbor-changes

hows about, when on the switch and you want to see the routing configs,
acls etc (bypassing the long interfaces section), do a "sh run | beg
24", or if you have a 48 port switch then "sh run | beg 48".
