If you feel defeated, you are definitely working at this in an uphill
fashion. Your attitude while you are preparing for and taking the exam
is extremely important. It is right up there with your technical
knowledge.
First time passing is very possible. Especially as the vendors that
support this mailing list become more and more skilled at ensuring first
time pass success.
While you might not have time left to run through an entire workbook of
20 or so labs, you certainly have time to do some Mock Labs and see how
you score. You have plenty of time to pinpoint weak areas and really hit
those hard before your attempt.
Also - at this point make sure you have a strategy plan for the exam
completely mastered.

Subject: Why Can't I pass the first time
I have my lab scheduled for August 23, that is, in the next 15 days. I
almost feel defeated already, even though I can not identify many
technical
shortfalls with my knowledge and experience. I feel defeated because I
have
been made to believe NOT to expect to pass on the first attempt. Indeed
I
know many personal friends who I considered technical gurus, but had to
do
the exam at least twice.
Now my question is this : Is it realistic to expect to pass on the first
attempt ? Or should I really walk in with my white towel already in the
air
?
regardless, 23 August it is, San Jose.
Herbert.
