If there's a single link with best metric, it will use this one.
If there're multiple links with equal metric, and they are "the best"
metric. This command will perform equal-cost load balancing.

Subject: Variance and Traffic-share - EIGRP

Hi Experts,

Sorry for asking this simple question.

Can anyone clarify the following

I found two definitions for *traffic-share min *command in EIGRP
configuration.
One says the traffic will be sent through the links having minimum metric
within the variance. Other says traffic will be sent through the best metric
link only (ie only one path).

If the second one is true, then what is the use of variance as it disables
load balancing.
If the first one is true on what basis the best links will be used. Say 4
links are coming within the variance out of 4 how many will be used for
sending traffic

Thanks in advance
