Hey there Hash,
That's just old config.
When the "switchport mode trunk" command is put in, the switch will read
the "switchport trunk ..." commands. When it's in "switchport mode
access", it'll read the "switchport access...." commands.
I've put both sets of commands on ports before when users are likely to
plug in either pc's or switches and they expect them both to work
perfectly!! But then you'd need your switchport mode setting to dynamic.
The spanning-tree portfast will also be ignored in trunk mode,
