Take a look to this:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/120newft/120
limit/120st/120st18/st_bipim.htm
We can read "Bidir-PIM does not support nonbroadcast multiaccess (NBMA)
mode."
Strange or not, the original feature document doesn't state this:

Hi,
I was trying to configure Bidirectional PIM on a HUB & Spoke topology with
Sparse-mode static RP's setup.
When Bidirectional PIM is not enabled , I am able to ping a destination from
spoke to spoke ( nbma-mode enabled on HUB).
But when I enable Bidirectional Pim , Spoke to spoke pinging is not working.
However i am able to ping the group from a router behind the HUB (i.e not a
spoke).
Are there any issues with Bidir PIM in Hub & Spoke topology.
Regards
Shamin
