I believe that if you have the right methodology, believe in your skills and
self control, you can easily achieve it 1st attempt or at most the 2nd.
I knew many people did it 1st and what I have seen failed in his 1st, this
was because he lost control. But for whom who spending 3rd, 4th, 5th, I
believe that they are not prepared enough and they do not have the right
methodology. "At least this is my point of view"

I've heard, and this is just rumor, that since Cisco went from 2 to 4
switches on the exam, the average attempts to pass has gone from 3 to nearly
5. Dunno how much truth there is to it, but I thought I'd throw it out
there. Very few people passing on the first or even 2nd attempt.

Hi John Gibson,

You should not have that attitude when your are facing the exam. Sustained
hard work is the key for success.
Many people fail the exam and then pass, including some proctors too.
Failure is the stepping stone for success.
