set discard-class

Hi Group,

This may be a stupid question, but is the discard class the same set of
bits as the DSCP drop probability? I was under the impression that it
didn't actually mark the IP header, but wanted to verify.

According to the doccd, the set discard-class can take a value 0-7,
which does not exactly match the DSCP drop values defined, which is
typically only 2 bits of the 3 available with the LSB always zero.

When you set discard-class, does it mark these DSCP discard probability
bits, or is discard-class similar to qos-group as an ingress system of
marking for egress qos? Discard class is typically used with WRED from
what I can tell.

Thanks,
Jason
