When trying to xmodem an image via the console you should load the
smallest image supported. Then once the router is up TFTP or FTP the
larger image. This will save a lot of time.
As far as your problem goes have you tried to do a "dir flash:" from
rommon to view the contents of the flash and verify that the router
sees the flash?
