Hi All,

I would like to announce that I passed my CCIE R&S at RTP
yesterday. After a 6 year hiatus from certifications, and being humbled 3
times afterwards, it was a piece of cake (yeah right) especially since I
was a bit under the weather (yes I was the one hacking up my lungs Mike)!

At any rate, I used IEWB material as well as their CODs which clarified a
few areas I had trouble with in my home lab. I thank Internetwork Expert
and the Brians for the quality material they put together and look
forward to using their stuff for the Security and Voice down the road. I
thank Scott Morris and the good people on this board and to the
originator Paul B for creating this forum for allowing a collaboration of
networking minds to discuss the various technologies in depth as I lurked
and read some helpful posts.

My advice to those who are studying is to be able to verify each step
after configuration. It may slow you down a bit but if you set guidelines
for yourself of when you should be done with a particular area and budget
your time you will be happy you did at the end. Use and understand all
show command, tcl scripts, and scenarios (what can impact what). Ask the
proctors questions as they will clarify the task if it happens to be
somewhat ambiguous. btw, I created a drawing, used colored pencils, kept
a log of what areas required troubleshooting, and never accessed the Doc
CD so to each his own I guess.hehe.

Well, thats it for me...Vacation time. Everybody enjoy the summer!

Regards,

Rocco Romeo
