Hello Dan,

Someone pls correct me if I wrong here but I always looked at N1 and N2
routes same as E1 and E2 routes being that N1 accumulates the cost
whereas
N2 does not and N1 is preferred over N2 just as E1 is preferred over E2.
These N1 and N2 routes are only seen in NSSA area and they are converted
to
E1 and E2 once advertised out of NSSA towards other areas. HTH.
