Personally, I do not see why we can not use any PSTN/WAN simulator.
As long as it work and you know how to set it up.

Only reason why I will use Cisco is because I know how to setup the 2811
and channelized T1 cards. It this should save me some time. Cisco will
be much more Familiar to me.

But otherwise, I think you can use any PSTN/WAN simulator as long as it
works.

Just make sure, your PSTN works with Cisco MFT-T1 VWIC cards.

just my 2 cents.

For PSTN cloud why can't we use the following euqipment instead of
expensive
CISCO one:?

Instead of
1 Cisco 2811 for PSTN/WAN cloud - 1x VWIC-2FT-T1, 1x PVDM2-16, 1x
VWIC-1MFT-E1 & NM-4A/S

To

ATLAS 550 with 2T1, 1E1 and 8FXS ports?
or
ATLAS 550 with 1E1, 8fxs and 4ISDN pris

Question:
------------
1. Why can't we use 3rd party cheap solution? In lab we are not allowed
to
touch PSTN router.
2. Can I use BRI ports to conenct PSTN cloud to BR1 or BR2 ? Is it
necessary
to buy E1's ?

Thanks
