If you have not already read them:
Jeff Doyle's Routing TCP/IP Volume I and II. Make sure to do some of the
practical exercises/examples in the book. I would then proceed to purchase
one of the lab workbooks and spend the rest 6-12 months of your free time
practicing/learning on a applicable rack. I used both Netmaster and
Internetworkexpert. I also did the mock labs from Netmaster. I know three
other CCIE's that prepared in this manner (none of us had an outline). You
should also spend time looking for/through documents on the Cisco website
that are relevant to the blueprint (I would do this in the last month or two
before the test). Get really familiar with
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm. In the end, I believe a ton of
"Rack" time and a SOLID conceptual understanding of the blueprint items are
key to passing the test.
Good luck,
