add this,

logging server-arp
arp 192.168.1.255 ffff.ffff.ffff arpa

192.168.1.255 is your directed broadcast address

anyway what's the advantage of turning unicast to broadcast to one host

yes solarwinds syslog works on udp 514 just like RFC
